Autism Queensland appoints new CEO
Autism Queensland has welcomed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the retirement of former CEO Rod Cameron.
Incoming CEO Pat Macrossan has held a number of senior roles at Autism Queensland since 2015, including Chief Operating Officer most recently and describes the opportunity as ‘exciting.’
“Over the past four years we’ve worked hard to build our capacity, establishing diagnostics clinics and developing programs for adolescents and adults, expanding full time and part time classes at the Sunnybank and Brighton school campuses and launching a new one in Cairns,” she says.
“I am focused on accelerating the great work already carried out by Rod and the Board in preparation for the National Disability Insurance (NDIS) and the challenges ahead for our sector, once the NDIS rollout is complete from July.”
Chairman of Autism Queensland, Ian Langdon says the Board is thrilled Pam has accepted her new role.
“Pam’s detailed knowledge of the organisation’s diverse range of services, as well as of the early childhood disability sector and funding programs will help us to navigate through the many changes related to the NDIS and the associated new funding structures.”
“Pam will continue the growth strategy, especially in our role in providing education services to preschool children requiring assistance in their development.”
